Have you been diagnosed with fibroids in the uterus? Understandably, this can be worrisome for any woman, and the fear is compounded by doctors who suggest prescription drugs or a surgical procedure. I’d like to tell you about alternative, natural treatments.

Let’s begin by understanding exactly what fibroids are and how they are caused. Then you will understand how natural remedies can benefit you.

Uterine fibroids grow in the uterus, and they are made of smooth muscle tissue. Many women have fibroids, but they are usually too small to be noticed or cause problems. However, when a fibroid grows too big, or grows in particular parts of the uterus, unpleasant symptoms can occur.

One symptom is stomach bloating that makes some women look “pregnant,” while other women simply experience a slight bloating or discomfort. A more serious warning sign is intense pain and/or abnormal bleeding. Bleeding is deemed abnormal when periods become extremely heavy, last more than 7 days, and/or spot between periods.

Fibroids can also grow in inopportune areas that will affect a woman’s ability to conceive. If a fibroid mass blocks the fallopian tube, for example, this can prevent fertilization. Similarly, if fibroids occur on the lining of the uterus, it is likely to disturb implantation or even cause a miscarriage. Women with very large fibroids might have a hard time conceiving because of the mass or bulk of the tumor.

What causes fibroids to develop at all? There are many theories, but I have anecdotal evidence from my own clients that suggests being exposed to high levels of toxins experience more severe symptoms. “But I don’t live in a toxic environment,” you say. The common toxin that I believe is most responsible is classified under the category of xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens are artificial chemicals that happen to be very similar to the estrogen naturally found in your body.

These xenoestrogen chemicals are found everywhere; in pharmaceuticals, in cleaning products used in the household, in pesticides used on fruits and vegetables, in non-organic meat and dairy products, and even in beauty products. But I have found that when my clients switch to natural cleaners and cosmetics and to organic food there are rapid improvements to their symptoms, and their fibroids stop enlarging.

The next step I recommend to women who are suffering from severe fibroid symptoms is a 28-day detoxifying program. This program of herbal detoxification gets rid of toxins such as xenoestrogen and other harmful chemicals which have built up in the body over the years, including heavy metals and parasites. It cleanses the colon, liver and kidneys, the organs our bodies rely upon to cleanse the rest of the body. Women who begin the herbal detox notice significant improvement with one week of starting the program.

While you body cleanse, you can start rebalancing your hormones with natural herbs. FibroidClear is an organic supplement made from herbs that helps your body balance its estrogen and progesterone levels naturally, as well as reducing fibroids in size. It also reduces uterine spasms and reduces excessive bleeding.

n one of the earlier paragraphs, I had emphasized the importance of organic food to prevent toxins. In addition, there are a number of other foods that is useful for shrinking fibroids. These are called superfood vegetables; a superfood is a type of food that has more significant health benefits than any other type of food due to their specific phytonutrient content. This provides your body with the nutrients required to cure fibroids, rebuild the blood lost from heavy periods, and assist in removing the harmless substances safely from the body. In case you are able to get these superfoods in a concentrated form, such as AlkaGreens Plus, it will make a lot of difference in shrinking your fibroids quickly.

This four-part program (switching to organic foods and products, de-toxifying, FibroClear, and AlkaGreens Plus) has absolutely no unpleasant side effects, unlike prescription drugs or surgery. My clients report feeling better within weeks of beginning the program.
